As a long-standing communications partner of ERGO Reiseversicherung (ERV), Wilde & Partner supports external corporate communications with a special focus on classic press relations – from B2C and B2B media relations to topic pitches and strategic placements in trade and consumer media. The aim is to position ERV as a competent, trustworthy partner in all matters relating to safe travel and to further strengthen its role as an experienced service partner in the travel market.

In the aftermath of the pandemic-related exceptional circumstances, which placed the entire travel industry under considerable pressure due to sharply increased advisory and service demands, it became essential to reset the communication framework. Wilde & Partner relies on a balance of objective, fact-based communication and inspiring content about travel.

In addition to regular press work, Wilde & Partner has developed new, attention-grabbing communication formats together with ERV that provide additional media impetus. One example is “Wanderlust Friday” – a monthly topic guide established in January 2025 with curated tips for extraordinary travel experiences from ERV travel expert Bettina Konzack. In this way, we position ERV not only as a safety expert, but also as an inspiring companion for the fun side of travel. For example, the lifestyle magazine ELLE picked up on our press release “Fernreise-Doppelgänger” and featured ERV as a source of inspiring travel destination tips.

Another highlight is the “Security report for travelers: What is important to Germans”, based on a representative survey that is to be repeated annually. The aim is to establish a media-effective mood barometer and to anchor ERV as a competent voice in the field of travel safety in the long term. The accompanying press release was flanked by an eye-catching mailing to relevant editorial offices – including a guardian angel key ring as an appealing symbol for safety when traveling. The result: a positive response and numerous clippings, for example in WAZ/WAZ-online.de under the title “Safety on vacation: What is important to Germans when traveling“.

Other topic-driven media work also attracted attention: t-online, for example, published the article “Traveling safely through the night – do you know the trick with the wrong wallet?“.

In addition, current developments in international travel were communicated: the women’s portal WMN, for example, addressed stricter entry rules and higher fees – with reference to ERGO Reiseversicherung’s expertise in matters relating to travel planning and safety.
