BayWa AG - The media diversity of a conglomerate

BayWa AG, headquartered in Munich, is one of the largest agricultural traders in Germany and Europe. As a conglomerate, the company has other divisions – including the building materials trade and the subsidiary BMS for the expansion of the e-charging station infrastructure in Germany, with a particular focus on Bavaria.

Key people in key areas:

Wilde & Partner’s task was and is to position the key people in the most important areas as experts in the daily and business press on their respective topics and to continuously anchor BayWa in the media. In addition to the main business areas, this can also include topics such as animal welfare or agriculture in connection with energy generation, for example through photovoltaics. The automation of agriculture, for example through hoeing robots or GPS-based sowing and fertilization, are also among the topics.

Reaching your goal with newsjacking:

For placement in the press, we primarily use what is known as newsjacking to suggest the selected topics to journalists. Here, we specifically approach media representatives who report on the respective aspects. In the past, we have also supported the company in initiating round tables or media consultations on topics of interest to readers of regional daily newspapers in particular, including the local construction industry.

With pro-active topic identification in the media of various categories:

In recent years, the aforementioned approaches have made it possible to place the most diverse heads of their divisions in the media. These include appearances in national business publications such as Wirtschaftswoche, Handelsblatt or SZ as well as regional daily newspapers such as Passauer Neue Presse, Augsburger Allgemeine or Allgäuer Zeitung. We have also achieved multiple placements in the online titles of the aforementioned publications as well as with the customers of media companies such as Ippen Digital.
